Fashion Sketchbook #4

Fur Coat-Olives Vintage Brooklyn, Dress-Shareen Vintage, Bag and Bangle-Topshop,  Shoes-Irregular Choice

Do you ever feel like sometimes you have come so far and made so many changes, that the only thing that seems new and right is the place you started from?  I have been feeling a little like that lately and I guess this post tapped into it for me.  This is how I used to dress, do my hair and draw. I used to wear cute outfits like this to mod clubs all the time and dance till dawn. I lived in neighborhoods for years in LA, that now remind me of my new home in Queens.  Does it really take so much change to appreciate the things that you used to be?

Regardless, I guess you could say this post is about a cool (and kind of shady...because she uses pay phones) girl from Queens. She is just trying to catch her train home (after a long night of dancing) and of course she misses it.  In the end she adjusts her lipstick, makes a few calls and another one comes, because that is how things are here in New York...you make a few calls and things just happen. Don't question it...she knows people and looks good in gold hoop earrings.

The last photo is fantastic but the fur coat makes it look like you should be on the Q train going to Brighton Beach, just not my taste. You do look great though.
